Rare used booklet. This is an abridged version of his book: "Fuke Shushi, The History of Fuke Sect. The Music and Techniques." QTY.1 only.

The author, Takahashi Kuzan, was an iconic figure in the world of the shakuhachi, revered even during his lifetime as the “God of the Shakuhachi”, his name etched into the Japanese musical history.

While undertaking warrior training as a mendicant monk, he travelled throughout Japan, surveying the ruins of Fuke sect temples that had been abolished in 1871 (Meiji 4). His findings were later compiled into “History of the Fuke Sect”, a work essential for researchers. Takahashi Kūzan studied under masters such as Miyagawa Nyozan, Okazaki Meidō, Katsuura Shozan, and Kobayashi Shizan, inheriting the profound secrets of Fuke-shū shakuhachi.
