Shakuhachi Lesson (Kinko style)
Kinko-ryu Koten Honkyoku /Instructor: Mr. Keisuke Zenyoji
✿Lesson fee: 6,050 yen/45-min lesson, *CASH ONLY for visitors!
✿Though he is not a fluent English speaker, Mr. Zenyoji currently teaches many non-Japanese speaking students. Communication is not an issue in simple conversation!
✿For dates not listed below, please make arrangements at least 4 weeks in advance. The lesson fee for dates outside our regular schedule is 9,350 yen for a 45-minute lesson.
✿Your personal info is required upon booking.(Address in Japan, NOT your original country) No show and canceling notified less than 36 hours are subject to a 3000 yen cancellation fee.

BIOGRAPHY:
Mr. Zenyoji is one of Japan’s leading shakuhachi masters, renowned both domestically and internationally. Trained in the Komuso shakuhachi tradition from the age of six by his father, he earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in shakuhachi performance from Tokyo University of the Arts and later served as an instructor there. He is a key preserver of the Nezasa-ha Kinpu-ryu tradition of Aomori Prefecture and the author of Hajimete no Shakuhachi (2000). Recognized for his lifelong dedication to classical shakuhachi music, he was designated a Living National Treasure of Japan at age 61.
Private lessons are for students of all levels.
