The Nohkan differs significantly from Western concert instruments because it is not designed around a standardized pitch system. Strictly speaking, the Nohkan does not have a fixed concert pitch and does not follow a standardized diatonic or chromatic scale. Its pitch relationships are determined by traditional construction methods and performance practice rather than by equal temperament. The Nohkan fundamentally covers a range of two octaves.
Used to repair the wax part of Nohkan, Sho and Shinobue. Already mixed with pine resin. Approx.20g including the case.
For those who can repair their instruments.
