A clay soil to be mixed with seshime to form the base, or ji that goes on before the finishing coat of lacquer. Used for many Urushi applications such as Kintsugi repair. Produced in Yamanashi, Kyoto. Yellow type.
Shakuhachi's interior "Ji" is made from Tonoko, Water and Seshime. The ratio is Tonoko 10: Water 5: Seshime 4, Net: 1000 grams. /2.2 lb.
