Shakuhachi Lesson (Kinko style)

- Lesson fee: 5,500 yen/45-min lesson, *CASH ONLY for visitors!
- Though he is not a fluent English speaker, he currently teaches a lot of non-Japanese speaking students. Communication is not an issue wth simple conversation!

BIOGRAPHY:
Mr. Zenyoji is one of the most prominent younger-generation shakuhachi performers both in Japan and around the world. Having been taught the art of "Komuso Shakuhachi" from his father since age 6, Zenyoji received his bachelor's and master's degree in Shakuhachi from the Tokyo University of Fine Arts and Music and acted as an assistant shakuhachi instructor at the University from 1991 - 1996. He is also known as a performer preserving the "Nezasaha Kimpu-Ryu", an original style of shakuhachi played in Hirosaki region of Aomori Prefecture. Mr. Zenyoji has also published "Hajimete no Shakuhachi" (Shakuhachi Beginner's Manual) published from Ongaku no Tomosha in 2000.
Private lessons are for students of all levels.
