Gen Shakuhachi was developed with the intention of making the shakuhachi more accessible to a wider audience by focusing on easier playing and handling. Whether you are a novice or an experienced musician, Gen Shakuhachi offers an opportunity for everyone to explore the enchanting world of this traditional Japanese instrument.

Gen was developed under the supervision of Daisuke Kaminaga, Japanese shakuhachi player of Wagakki Band and Hanafugetsu.

NOTE: Injection molding always leaves a runner mark. The "Gen" has one runner at the end of the tube and at the upper tube joint. Runner marks are not a defect.
