The Scale: It naturally produces a pentatonic (5-note) scale.
The Pitch System: In Gagaku musicology, the Ryuteki is tuned to align with the traditional Twelve-Tone Pitch System (Juni-ritsu), which is roughly equivalent to the Western chromatic scale but uses different pitch standards. The Ryuteki has a practical range of two octaves.
Comes with original English chart. No case/cover is included.
Normal pitch is tuned to 430hz, High pitch is tuned to 440 hz (western tuning).
